Maples Group Expands Global Dispute Resolution & Insolvency Footprint in Key Markets

Maples and Calder, the Maples Group's law firm, is pleased to announce some significant developments in its global Dispute Resolution & Insolvency practice.  Luke Stockdale, a Partner who has been with the firm for 12 years, relocated from the Cayman Islands office to London this month. Additionally, Cherrin Wong, an Of Counsel with the firm for over six years, transitioned from Hong Kong to Singapore, becoming the firm's first Singapore-based litigator.

With these strategic relocations, the global practice now boasts dedicated lawyers in six key locations worldwide (British Virgin Islands ("BVI"), Cayman Islands, Hong Kong, Ireland, London and Singapore), enhancing its ability to provide top-tier restructuring, litigation and insolvency expertise to clients across its international network.

As a senior dispute resolution lawyer with extensive experience in the Cayman Islands and the BVI, Luke will continue to work closely with the firm's global Cayman and BVI practices and will also collaborate with the firm's London and European Corporate, Funds & Investment Management, Finance and Trusts practices. Recommended in Chambers Global and as a 'Leading Individual' by The Legal 500, Luke has experience across a wide range of commercial litigation, arbitration and contentious restructuring and insolvency matters, with a particular emphasis on complex multi-jurisdictional cases.  He also has considerable experience in fraud and asset-tracing, shareholder disputes and investment fund disputes and regularly advises boards, investors, high-net-worth parties and insolvency practitioners on contentious matters and insolvencies. His relocation to London will support with providing time zone sensitive advice to clients and contacts in London, the Middle East, Europe and Asia.
