With the implementation of Singapore’s Corporate Service Providers Act (“CSP Act”) on 9 June 2025, the Maples Group fiduciary services division operating under Maples Fiduciary Services (Singapore) Pte. Ltd. has transitioned from a registered filing agent and is now a registered corporate service provider regulated under the CSP Act.
The legislation forms part of Singapore’s efforts to strengthen its Anti-Money Laundering (“AML”) regime and increase transparency regarding corporate ownership. Under the new regime, registered Corporate Service Providers (“CSPs”) must meet certain standards and face additional obligations, as outlined in our previous article.
