Areas of Expertise
Guy is a Global Head of the Maples Group’s fiduciary services business and is a member of the executive management team. He is also responsible for oversight of the group’s global entity formation and management services. In these capacities he has driven growth of various businesses and has played a critical role in developing new solutions and products for clients. Having been in the industry for more than two decades, Guy has experience across a broad range of structures and investment funds. He has closed a wide variety of transactions including CLO/CDOs, securitisations and Islamic finance vehicles, together with serving on the board of investment funds and US structures. He also has extensive experience in re-structuring and work out of post-closing issues with investors, managers, arrangers and legal counsel. Guy established the Maples Group’s Delaware office and brings a deep understanding of that and other jurisdictions globally. Guy has authored a number of articles on US fund governance and other topics related to the CLO market.
Previously, Guy worked as Manager of Corporate Services for BNP Paribas (Cayman) and before that, for PricewaterhouseCoopers in London, as a member of the international structuring team. Guy began his career with Deutsche Bank in the Cayman Islands in the late 1990s. With more than two decades of experience in the structured finance space, Guy has a unique perspective into how the industry has evolved and leverages this expertise to develop efficient and cost effective products and services that suit the unique needs of his clients.
