Sheryl Dean Named Among 50 Leading Women in Private Markets

Impressively, the prestigious report names some of the world’s highest rated individuals working in private markets.

Sheryl, who is a partner based in the Cayman Islands office, heads up the firm’s Cayman Islands Funds & Investment Management practice, the largest funds practice by headcount and client base in the jurisdiction. With nearly 20 years’ experience working in the private funds space, Sheryl leads the teams for some of the firm’s largest clients and is regularly instructed to act for some of the world’s leading private equity managers by AUM. Notably, Sheryl recently led the team who advised Bain Capital on its largest Asia private equity fund to date which closed at USD 7.1 billion, exceeding its target by 40%.
Sheryl’s extensive experience in the private equity and credit space and reputation for creating and developing solutions to meet clients’ on-going legal and regulatory needs is consistently recognised with leading rankings in the major legal directories. She specialises in private fund structures and investments and represents a wide range of sponsors, from large institutions to boutique and start-up investment managers, advising on the structuring, formation and operation of private funds and advising on downstream transactions and portfolio investments. Sheryl advises sponsors on their carry allocation and management vehicles. She also works on a number of related corporate transactions, including consortium deals and joint ventures, co-investments, buy-outs and restructurings.
