Maples Group Advises Windward Air Capital on New Direct Aviation Lending Platform

The Maples Group is pleased to have advised Windward Air Capital and its joint venture partner Bain Capital on the completion of two new financing facilities. The two facilities will finance narrowbody aircraft on lease to easyJet and Volaris respectively.

Based in Dublin, Windward Air Capital is an aircraft investment platform focused on acquiring young Boeing and Airbus aircraft with long remaining leases to global airlines.

A multi-disciplinary team of lawyers and professionals based in the Maples Group’s Dublin office advised Windward Air Capital and Bain Capital on the legal aspects of the transaction and was led by Partners, Mary O’Neill, Stephen McLoughlin and Fearghal De Feu, assisted by Of Counsel Alex Walsh and Associates, Rory Beasley, Nuala Clarke and Gerard Grogan. The Group’s Fiduciary Services team, led by Jonathan Reynolds, provided corporate administration services.
