Maples Group Advises State Street Investment Management on Its First Tokenised Fund Launch

The Maples Group is pleased to have advised State Street Investment Management (“SSIM”) on one of the first fund launches under the new Cayman Islands framework for tokenised mutual funds under the Mutual Funds (Amendment) Act, 2026. State Street Galaxy Onchain Liquidity Sweep Fund (SWEEP) is a tokenised mutual fund designed to offer investment solutions on-chain and support 24/7 programmatic trading and liquidity for cash management.

The Maples Group provided multi-disciplinary Cayman Islands legal and fiduciary advice from our Funds & Investment Management, Digital Assets, Regulatory & Financial Services Advisory, and Fiduciary Services teams.
