Maples and Calder, the Maples Group’s law firm, is pleased to have advised Meta Platforms on its acquisition of Manus AI, a leading artificial intelligence (“AI”) company. Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
Manus is the developer of a general AI agent designed to be an autonomous system that can independently execute complex tasks like market research, coding and data analysis.
The Maples Group’s team advising Meta comprised global head of Corporate Daniel Lee and Corporate associates James Turner and Alex Taylor. They provided Cayman Islands legal advice on the transaction working closely with Meta’s lead counsel Davis Polk.
