Maples Group Advises DayOne Data Centres Limited on US$1 Billion Series B Financing

Maples and Calder, the Maples Group’s law firm, is pleased to have advised DayOne Data Centres Limited (“DayOne”) on its US$1 billion series B financing round led by Coatue Management. This transaction closed on 31 December 2024.
DayOne is a data centre pioneer that develops and operates next-generation digital infrastructure for industry leaders who demand reliable, cost-effective and quickly scalable solutions. Headquartered in Singapore, DayOne’s data centres are located across Asia, including Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, Hong Kong SAR and Japan.
A team based in the firm’s Hong Kong office acted as Cayman Islands counsel to DayOne and was led by Matt Roberts, Partner and head of the Asia Corporate practice, with assistance from Of Counsel Jessica Zhan.
Commenting on the transaction, Matt said “We are delighted to have supported DayOne on this milestone series financing round to assist DayOne in expanding its data centre portfolio in the Asia Pacific region. We believe this investment will drive significant advancements in the industry.”
White & Case acted as legal counsel to DayOne while Latham & Watkins acted as legal counsel to the lead investor, Coatue Management.
