Maples Group Advises AMCS on its Landmark Sale to EQT Private Equity

Maples and Calder, the Maples Group’s law firm, is pleased to have advised AMCS on the sale of a majority stake to EQT Private Equity. Notably, the transaction is one of the largest acquisitions of an Irish private technology company in the market.

Headquartered in Ireland, AMCS is a supplier of cloud-based and AI-enabled planning, performance, safety and sustainability focused software for waste management, recycling and other resource-intensive industries. With over 1,300 employees across Europe, North America and Australasia, AMCS serves over 3,800 customers, across 80 countries, and helps manage more than 700,000 vehicles globally.

A multi-disciplinary team of lawyers from the firm’s Dublin office advised AMCS on this transaction, including members of the firm’s Employment, Data, Technology, Financial Services Regulatory and Banking speciality practices. The Corporate team was co-led by Partner and head of the Dublin Corporate practice, Colm Rafferty, and Corporate Partner, Morgan Pierse, together with Associates, Conor Cawley, Shane Divilly, Lianne Canty and Grace Connolly Gusmões.

The deal team also featured Dublin Partners Claire Morrissey (Data); Lorna Smith (Financial Services Regulatory); Karen Killalea, (Employment); Sarah Francis and Alma O’Sullivan (Banking); and William Fogarty (Tax).
