Expertise

Tyler is the Global Head of the Maples Group’s fund services business and is a member of the executive management team. He oversees fund accounting, investor services, data management, information systems and business development professionals that deliver middle and back-office outsourcing solutions for alternative investment funds and institutional investors, globally. Drawing on over two decades of experience in the asset management industry and management consulting, Tyler works closely with clients to understand their needs and develop tailored solutions. For six consecutive years (2012-2017), Tyler was named to Institutional Investor’s Tech 40 (formerly Tech 50) list, a global ranking that recognised leaders in financial services technology achievement and innovation. He is a frequent speaker at industry conferences, and has authored several articles on trends and best practices.

Background

Prior to joining the Maples Group, Tyler was Chief Technology Officer at Northwater Capital Management – an alternative asset manager specializing in hedge funds, private equity and derivatives trading. Prior to that, he spent 10 years with EY/Capgemini, where he participated in the launch of technology-based business ventures and managed large transformation initiatives for banks and asset managers across North America and Europe. Tyler also worked as a Vice President at Invesco Canada, and started his career at First Hawaiian Bank in research and development.
