Tyler Kim

Tyler is Co-Chief Executive Officer of the Maples Group, sharing responsibility for the strategic direction and leadership of its fiduciary, fund services, regulatory and compliance and entity formation and management businesses.

Tyler joined the Maples Group in 2009 to establish its Montreal office, initially serving as the company’s Chief Information Officer. His accomplishments in partnering with institutional investors and asset managers were recognised for six consecutive years (2012-2017) by industry publication Institutional Investor, which named him to its annual rankings of leading financial services technology executives. Each year since 2022, Mediacorp Canada has named the Maples Group one of Montreal’s Top Employers.

From 2015 to 2025, Tyler was Global Head of Fund Services, overseeing the Maples Group’s fund administration, middle-office outsourcing and regulatory services to hedge funds, private asset funds and institutional investors.

Tyler has more than three decades of experience in financial services, technology and management consulting. Prior to joining the Maples Group, Tyler was Chief Technology Officer at investment company Northwater Capital Management, Asset Management Advisory Services practice leader at professional services firm EY (Canada), and a Vice President and Associate Partner at the asset manager Invesco. He started his career at First Hawaiian Bank.
