Shohel is a seasoned structured finance and capital markets professional with over 14 years’ experience spanning legal, investment banking, and fiduciary roles. Shohel specialises in securitisations covering a number of asset classes, including RMBS, trade receivables and auto loans/leases encompassing both public and private issuances (warehouses) and ABCP conduit securitisations. Shohel has worked on the originator, arranger and the issuer side of structured finance transactions with an approach that is rooted in commercial pragmatism, collaboration and robust governance, ensuring client objectives are met with precision and efficiency.
Shohel previously worked as the Head of Legal at an ethical home financing fintech and spent five years at OSB GROUP PLC as Senior Legal Counsel advising on its wholesale financing and capital markets issuances including its RMBS platforms and regulatory capital issuances, as well as establishing its £3bn EMTN programme. Shohel spent four years with HSBC, working as an investment banker on the securitisation desk. Shohel qualified as a solicitor in 2010 and worked at Reed Smith and Paul Hastings (Europe) LLP, specialising in structured finance, securitisation, fund finance and structured real estate debt. Shohel had also spent time at Link Asset Services as a director within the corporate services team.
