Dan is of counsel of Maples and Calder’s Funds & Investment Management team in the Maples Group’s Hong Kong office. Dan advises on the structure, formation, launch and maintenance of private equity funds, venture capital funds and hedge funds, as well as downstream private equity transactions.
Dan has been mentioned by IFLR1000 Asia Pacific as a “strong, up-and-coming” lawyer who is “uniquely positioned to advise Korean private equity clients on Cayman law issues” as a fluent Korean speaker.
Dan joined the Maples Group’s law firm in 2018. Prior to that, Dan was Senior Legal Counsel at HSBC in Hong Kong and also worked in the London offices of Slaughter and May and Hogan Lovells.
