Cosmin Emanuel Ion

With 18+ years of international experience across Big Four audit and Fund Administration, Cosmin specializes in Real Estate and Private Equity structures with strong expertise in accounting and internal controls. Having previously held senior leadership roles at EY and Citco, he is experienced in leading cross-functional teams and developed a governance focused skillset across regulated and unregulated alternative investment vehicles in Luxembourg and Europe.

Cosmin served as Senior Vice President at Citco Fund Services in Luxembourg, where he managed the end-to-end fund administration lifecycle of a large Real Estate – Private Equity portfolio across multiple jurisdictions. He is knowledgeable of the Alternative Investment landscape in Luxembourg, being familiar with the various fund structures and the regulatory framework and reporting.

Earlier in his career, he spent over 14 years with EY in Luxembourg, Italy and Romania, managing audits of large, listed groups as well as a specializing in SOX reporting for US listed groups. In his audit experience, he focused on large International listed groups (from Manufacturing and Telecom to Alternative Investment funds), he acquired a strong literacy in IFRS and LUX GAAP as well as becoming a subject matter expert in ICFR (SOX) for US listed clients.
