Christian is a Partner in the Maples Group’s Dispute Resolution & Insolvency team, having joined the firm in 2014 and being elected to partnership in January 2021. His international experience has equipped him with a sophisticated understanding of multi-jurisdictional commercial disputes, contentious insolvencies, corporate recovery, reconstructions, schemes of arrangement and cross-border restructurings. Christian regularly advises and represents a diverse range of clients, including investment banks, accountancy firms, hedge funds, financial institutions, office holders, and other key stakeholders on a wide range of Cayman Islands legal issues.
Christian appears frequently before the Grand Court of the Cayman Islands, where he is known for his clear advocacy and deep technical knowledge. Christian’s reputation for technical excellence, commercial acumen, and client-focused service makes him a trusted advisor to clients navigating complex and high-value disputes.
Christian joined the Maples Group in 2014. Previously he was an associate in the Securities and Financial Institutions Litigation team at Bingham McCutchen in London. Christian trained at Allen & Overy LLP, where he qualified into the Banking, Finance and Securities Disputes team.
