Maples Group’s Leading London Investment Funds & Management Team Welcomes Three New Associates

Maples and Calder, the Maples Group’s law firm, is delighted to welcome three new Associates, Christiana McMurdo, James Duff and Nadia Bouchiba, to its top-tier Funds & Investment Management team in London.

Christiana began her career with the international firm in 2021 under its highly successful Cayman Islands Articles of Clerkship Programme. She completed her training in June 2023 and was subsequently admitted as an attorney-at-law in the Cayman Islands before relocating to London. Christiana specialises in investment funds and advises on the establishment, launch and ongoing operation of hedge funds and private equity funds.

Commenting on her appointment in London, Christiana said, “The Maples Group’s dedication to supporting my career development as a lawyer has been invaluable. It is a privilege to work and learn alongside leading lawyers in our Cayman Islands and London teams. I am excited for this new journey and the growth and experiences it will bring.”

The team also welcomed associate James Duff who brings a wealth of experience and advises on the establishment, maintenance and governance requirements of a wide range of alternative investment fund structures.

Finally, after joining the firm as a paralegal in 2020, Nadia qualified as a solicitor in 2023 and continues to assist in the establishment and maintenance of hedge funds, private equity funds and a broad range of corporate and commercial transactions involving alternative investment funds.
