Maples Group Expands Asia Funds & Investment Management Practice with Appointment of New Partner
Maples and Calder, the Maples Group’s law firm, is pleased to announce that its leading Asia Funds & Investment Management practice has appointed Ian Clark as a new Partner in Singapore.

Ian brings a wealth of experience to the firm, having advised clients on a wide range of fund-related matters throughout his career. His specialisation in hedge and private equity fund products, along with his expertise in general corporate matters, positions him as a trusted adviser to clients seeking strategic counsel on fund formation, structuring and regulatory compliance. With a decade of working experience in Hong Kong and the Channel Islands, Ian has extensive experience in both the laws of the Cayman Islands and the British Virgin Islands and a deep understanding of the Asian market. Ian will support Asia-based clients who are navigating the complexities of international fund structures.
Notably, Ian joins one of the largest Funds & Investment Management teams in the region with a unique offering of native Chinese and Korean-speaking lawyers. He will work alongside the firm’s global practices and will collaborate closely with Asia-based Funds & Investments Partners Ann Ng, Nick Harrold, Terence Ho, Sharon Yap, Iain Anderson, Andrew Wood and Josie Ainley.
