Maples Advises Spotlight Oral Care on €12m Investment from Development Capital Fund
Maples and Calder (Ireland) LLP, the Maples Group’s law firm, is pleased to have advised Spotlight Oral Care on the Irish corporate legal aspects of its recent growth capital investment from Development Capital Fund. The investment will further support the Irish company’s international expansion into Europe and the US.

Spotlight Oral Care was founded in 2016 by three Irish dentists, sisters Dr. Vanessa Creaven and Dr. Lisa Creaven, and Dr. Barry Buckley. The company develops, markets and sells a comprehensive range of products for specific consumer oral care needs both online and through retailers in Europe, the UK and the US.
Spotlight Oral Care currently has 17 products in its range, all of which are clinically formulated and tailored to target specific oral health needs using “clean, active ingredients”.
A team based in the firm’s Irish office advised Spotlight Oral Care and was led by Deirdre MacCarthy, a Partner in the Irish Corporate practice, who was assisted by Associates, William Darmody and Emma Sheehy.
