Maples Group Advises AMCS on Two Strategic Acquisitions

Maples and Calder, the Maples Group’s law firm, is pleased to have advised AMCS, the leader in Performance Sustainability, on its acquisitions of Selected Interventions, a global Software-as-a-Service provider specialised in municipal resource management solutions, and Mandalay Technologies, an Australia-headquartered provider of modular cloud-based weighbridge and data management solutions for the waste and resource recovery industry.

Headquartered in Ireland, AMCS is a supplier of cloud-based and AI-enabled planning, performance, safety and sustainability focused software for waste management, recycling and other resource-intensive industries. These strategic acquisitions enhance AMCS’ position as a trusted partner for municipalities and resource and recycling organisations worldwide.

The multi-disciplinary team of lawyers from the firm’s Dublin office was co-led by Partner and head of the Dublin Corporate practice, Colm Rafferty, and Corporate Partner, Morgan Pierse. The deal team also featured Partner and Head of Data, Commercial & Technology Claire Morrissey and was supported by Associates Sarah Lydon (Data), James Reidy and Emily Fenton (both Corporate).

Maples and Calder’s market leading global Corporate practice has extensive experience acting as lead counsel for buyers, sellers, investors, issuers and acquisition targets across a range of sectors. The Dublin team has advised on some of the most high-profile acquisitions of Irish targets by global counterparties, such as the sale of Taoglas to Graham Partners, the sale of Version 1 to Partners Group and the sale of SteriPack to Inflexion.

The Dublin Corporate team supported AMCS on its acquisitions of Quentic, Sendr, Brady, Desert Micro, Recy Systems AG, P&L Software, GMT Europe Group and Utilibill. In August 2024, the firm advised AMCS on the sale of a majority stake to EQT Private Equity, one of the largest acquisitions of an Irish private technology company in 2024.
