Suzanne is a partner of Maples and Calder’s Corporate team and co-head of the Latin American practice and is based in the Maples Group’s Cayman Islands office. She has extensive experience in all aspects of corporate work, including debt and equity capital markets, mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, venture capital transactions and also advises on a wide variety of structured finance and investment fund transactions. Suzanne maintains a strong focus on public company work, advising clients through all stages of their growth from start-up to IPO and beyond.
Through her Latin American practice, Suzanne advises clients both originating from and investing into the region. She has also advised telecommunications clients and hardware companies on Cayman Islands licensing and regulatory issues.
Suzanne joined the Maples Group in 2006 and was elected as a partner in 2013. She previously worked for Mallesons, Stephen Jaques (now King & Wood Mallesons) and before that, for Freehills (now Herbert Smith Freehills), in Australia. Suzanne has been recommended in Legal 500 as a ‘Leading Individual’ and ranked in Chambers and Partners. Suzanne has also been recognised by Latinvex as one of Latin America’s Top 100 Female Lawyers and featured in Latin Lawyer 250 for her work on Latin American transactions.
Suzanne is a member of the Cayman Islands Legal Practitioners Association.
