Cristiane Matos

OVERVIEW

Cristiane is acting as liquidator and providing fiduciary services to a range of BVI entities, including private companies, limited partnerships, funds and trusts, to ensure they will be handled in accordance with local regulations and guidelines.  She has authored articles about BVI trusts and participated in numerous industry events and panels representing the jurisdiction and addressing a variety of topics related to BVI structures and best governance practices. 

BACKGROUND

 

Cristiane is a qualified Brazilian lawyer with 20 years of experience.  She has worked as Head and Senior Manager at the BVI offices of large financial services providers, focusing mostly on directorship and trusteeship to offshore structures.  Her work was often of a multi-jurisdictional scope and involved developing new lines of business across her previous firm's Latin American practice.  Prior to this, she worked as a consulting and litigation lawyer across an array of practice areas in Brazil, including intellectual property, unfair competition, civil and criminal law.
