Areas of Expertise
Alex is a partner in Maples and Calder’s Funds & Investment Management team in the Maples Group’s Cayman Islands office. He advises private equity funds, hedge funds and investment managers on investment fund formation, restructuring and fund transactions. He also advises on a broad range of corporate and commercial matters.
Alex joined the Maples Group in 2017 in the London office, before relocating to the Cayman Islands in 2018. He previously worked as an associate in the investment management group of Debevoise and Plimpton LLP in London.
Alex has been recognised by Legal 500 where clients describe him as ‘an exceptional private funds partner. Extremely knowledgeable, always available and capable of distilling complex legal matters into readily understood terms’ and ‘amazing practitioner who is always available to help at the drop of a hat’.
