Maples Group Expands UK Fiduciary Team with Key Corporate Secretarial Appointment

06 Jun 2024

The Maples Group, a leading global legal and international financial services provider, has expanded its fiduciary services department in London, with the appointment of senior practitioner Iryna Vale as Vice President.  With this appointment, Iryna will have responsibility for the UK corporate secretarial team.

Iryna joins the Maples Group from another large global corporate services provider, where she was Head of Corporate Secretarial Services UK & Ireland, having been with that firm since 2015. Iryna is recognised across the industry as a leading governance professional, having been named in the 2024 DMJ Governance HOT 100 in the Relationship Managers category. In her new position, Iryna will have responsibility for ensuring excellence in the delivery of the Maples Group's Corporate Secretarial services in the UK.

"We are delighted to welcome Iryna to our team. Her appointment is part of a continued expansion of our UK fiduciary offering this year," commented Sam Ellis, Senior Vice President, and Head of Fiduciary Services in London. "Iryna joins a group of highly experienced professionals – including Rico Navsaria, with a reputation for first class client service and an in-depth knowledge of UK corporate secretarial requirements, our clients and their needs."

With a team dedicated to serving the UK market, the Maples Group's Corporate Secretarial team is renowned for the provision of exemplary service to holding companies, investment funds and structured finance vehicles.

Maples Group's experienced and qualified company secretarial professionals are experts in UK corporate secretarial requirements, with a strong understanding of the UK corporate governance and regulatory landscape. The firm's proactive approach helps clients stay ahead of constantly evolving requirements, such as those in the new Economic Crime and Corporate Transparency 2023 Act. The high-quality service is supplemented by leading technology and entity document management solutions, reducing administrative burdens for companies and enhancing corporate governance.

Iryna's appointment is the latest in a series of key developments for the Maples Group's UK office this year. In April, the firm expanded its fiduciary offering in London, with the addition of liquidation services, complementing a full suite of entity formation, corporate and fiduciary services.

The Maples Group also recently relocated to new offices in the City of London, to accommodate the fast-growing team, reinforcing the Group's commitment to sustained growth in the UK. With the fiduciary and fund services teams, together with the Group's international law firm Maples and Calder, there are now over 300 people working in the Maples Group's UK offices.

The Maples Group's London office is part of a global, integrated team of nearly 3,000 people across 16 offices worldwide.  Together, they offer clients access to legal advice on the laws of the British Virgin Islands, the Cayman Islands, Ireland, Jersey and Luxembourg, as well as fiduciary, fund, regulatory and compliance, and entity formation and management services in time zones suitable to their needs.
