Maples Advises Amber Group on Temasek-Led US$200 Million Series B+ Funding

Maples and Calder, the Maples Group's law firm, is pleased to have acted as Cayman Islands counsel to leading digital asset company, Amber Group, on its US$200 million Series B+ funding. The fundraising was announced on 22 February 2022 and elevated the company's valuation to US$3 billion. 

A team based in the international law firm's Hong Kong practice acted as Cayman Islands counsel to Amber Group, led by Partner, Everton Robertson and assisted by Associate, Jessica Zhan. 

Founded in 2017 and headquartered in Singapore, Amber Group is a leading global digital asset company that provides a full range of digital asset services spanning investing, financing, trading, and spending.  This Series B+ funding round was led by Temasek with participation from existing investors including, Sequoia China, Pantera Capital, Tiger Global Management, Tru Arrow Partners, and Coinbase Ventures among others.
