Maples Advises Brigade-M3 European Acquisition Corp. on $250 Million SPAC IPO

Maples and Calder, the Maples Group's law firm, was pleased to advise Brigade-M3 European Acquisition Corp. ("Brigade-M3") on its successful US$250 million listing on Euronext Amsterdam as a Special Purpose Acquisition Company ("SPAC"). The company was incorporated for purpose of effecting a business combination with an operating company with significant operations in Europe, which has positively benefited from a structural shift caused by the COVID-19 pandemic or has been negatively impacted by a temporary dislocation caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.

The team led by Jack Marriott, Partner and head of the London Corporate practice, along with Of Counsel Christopher Oliver, acted as Cayman Islands counsel for Brigade-M3 and continue to be selected to act as counsel on SPAC IPOs as a result of the firm's market-leading experience and comprehensive capabilities in this area.  

For over a decade, the law firm has led on the majority of all Cayman Islands SPAC IPOs, having acted on the first-ever Cayman Islands SPAC listing on Euronext in 2008.
