OVERVIEW

Emma heads the Global Registration Services team within the Funds & Investment Management Group in the Dublin office.  She has particular expertise in the cross-border distribution of UCITS and (onshore and offshore) AIFs globally including Europe, Asia Pacific, the Americas, the Far and Middle East (whether by way of private placement or publicly through the European Passport or local registration).  Emma regularly advises promoters, fund managers and investment banks which operate UCITS, ETFs and AIFs on the initial market entry process (including any permitted pre-marketing activities) as well as ongoing maintenance filing requirements to ensure continued compliance and market access.

BACKGROUND

Emma joined the Maples Group in 2008.  She previously worked for a large Irish corporate law firm.

PROFESSIONAL ACTIVITIES

Emma is the former Chair of the Irish Funds' Europe Distribution Working Group, the Distribution Steering Group, the Swiss, the UK, the Europe and the Nordics Distribution Working Groups and is a current member of the Distribution Technology Working Group.  She is also a founding member of the Irish chapter of 100 Women in Finance where she is a steering group member and is a member of Women in ETFs where she sits on the EMEA Mentoring Committee as a representative of the Dublin chapter.
