Samantha is Of Counsel in Maples and Calder’s Dispute Resolution & Insolvency team in the Maples Group’s British Virgin Islands office. Samantha advises insolvency practitioners, directors, creditors (both secured and unsecured), and shareholders on a range of issues arising out of shareholder and investor disputes, restructurings and contractual dispute matters.
Her experience includes case management of large complex matters that involved substantial hearings in the BVI Commercial Court as well as appeals in the Eastern Caribbean Supreme Court in the Court of Appeal.
Samantha joined the Maples Group in 2025. Prior to joining the Maples Group, Samantha was a member of the litigation and insolvency team at another international law firm in the British Virgin Islands. Samantha began her legal career with Addleshaw Goodard in the UK where she was a member of the litigation team for 15 years, which included a two year training contract.
