Nicola specialises in structured finance transactions, particularly CLOs, securitisations, repackagings, credit funds and other CLO investment structures. Recognised as a leading offshore lawyer in the credit market, she works closely with all arrangers, CLO managers and their counsel, helping to establish and structure their CLOs, warehousings and refinancings, based on a solid understanding and experience of the market pre, during and post credit crisis. Nicola also has experience in general finance, regulatory and corporate matters, including SPACs.
Nicola joined the Maples Group in 2013. She was based in the firm’s Cayman Islands office from 2006 – 2020 having previously worked at two international law firms. Before that, she worked for Clifford Chance in London in their International Securitisation Group. Nicola has been recommended in the Legal 500 and ranked by IFLR1000 and Chambers Global.
