Areas of Expertise
Myles is an associate of Maples and Calder’s Trusts & Private Client team, in the Maples Group Cayman Islands office. Myles advises on British Virgin Islands and Cayman Islands law as they relate to the creation and administration of trusts and foundation companies, the preparation of wills, obtaining grants of probate and letters of administration and the administration of estates. Myles also advises on regulatory matters related to virtual assets, including token issuances and virtual asset services provider applications in the British Virgin Islands.
Myles joined the Maples Group in 2025. Prior to joining the Trusts & Private Client team, he trained and qualified with a leading UK law firm in 2020. In 2021, he moved to the British Virgin Islands to join the Private Wealth department of an international law firm, where he spent four years before relocating to the Cayman Islands
Myles co-authored the British Virgin Islands chapter of Crypto Assets in Trusts and Foundations published in association with STEP, which provides an in-depth examination of 20 important trust and foundation jurisdictions, shedding light on their respective regulations concerning the holding of crypto assets in wealth management structures.
