Marit is a professional support lawyer in the Cayman Islands office at Maples and Calder, the Maples Group’s law firm, assisting the Dispute Resolution & Insolvency practice group in relation to the laws of the Cayman Islands and the British Virgin Islands.
Marit joined the Maples Group in 2024. She began her Cayman Islands legal career in 2008 as an associate in the dispute resolution and insolvency group of another international law firm before transitioning to a professional support lawyer where she supported the group for 10 years. Prior to relocating to the Cayman Islands, Marit practised in the areas of dispute resolution and insolvency in London.
Marit is a member of the Cayman Islands Legal Practitioners Association.
