Malaqui Awe

Malaqui has over 20 years’ experience in the financial services industry covering a range of areas from trust services (particular expertise in Cayman Islands trusts and foundation companies), to investment funds, corporate services, and regulatory and compliance.  Malaqui is driven by a client-centric philosophy.  She aims to understand each client’s unique needs, preferences and goals and strives on building long lasting relationships with a personal approach.

Malaqui was a senior manager at EY Law (Cayman), part of the EY region of the Bahamas, Bermuda, BVI and Cayman Islands.  She built the corporate practice under EY Law (Cayman) then led the corporate administration team.  Prior to that Malaqui was a manager at a boutique firm providing corporate governance services that included the provision of independent directors and related services to the alternative investment industry.  Malaqui started her career in the trust industry with a leading trust provider in the Cayman Islands and also worked in Hong Kong with a Cayman Islands based law firm.
