Karan is a seasoned professional with over 19 years of global experience across U.S., Asia, and Europe in corporate and investment banking. He currently serves as an independent director on a wide range of alternative investment vehicles. His career is underpinned by a solid foundation in the custody business, alongside extensive experience in client services and operations. He has partnered with stakeholders across the fund life cycle to enhance service delivery and strengthen operational resilience.
Prior to joining Maples Group, Karan spent six years at J.P.Morgan Chase & Co, serving as Vice President in Client Accounting Services in Delaware and as Assistant Vice President of Global Trade Operations in the Philippines. In these roles, he oversaw end-to-end client on- boarding, fund launches, and payment operations for institutional clients, and led payment operations for trust accounts with a focus on disciplined fiduciary risk oversight. Previous to this, he spent two years at State Street Bank and Trust in Massachusetts as Assistant Vice President of Client Service Operations, where he managed custody and fund accounting teams supporting institutional clients.
