Areas of Expertise
Joe is an Associate in Maples and Calder’s Funds & Investment Management team in the Maples Group’s Dublin office. He focuses his practice on financial services and investment management matters with an emphasis on the establishment, authorisation, operation and maintenance of investment funds, including AIFs and UCITS. Joe advises on the formation and structuring of a variety of fund structures domiciled in onshore and offshore jurisdictions for US and European asset managers with a wide range of investment strategies and structures, including ETFs, ICAVs and Irish investment limited partnerships.
Joe’s experience includes advising on the establishment and ongoing operation of authorised AIFMs, UCITS management companies and MiFID investment firms. His previous experience also includes completing secondments with two leading US asset managers where he advised on regulatory, marketing and compliance matters in respect of their alternative investment funds, UCITS and fund management companies.
Joe joined the Maples Group in 2025. He previously worked in the asset management and investment funds department of a tier 1 Irish law firm.
