Areas of Expertise

Emma is an associate of Maples and Calder’s Dispute Resolution & Insolvency team in the Maples Group’s London office. She regularly advises on a range of Cayman Islands and British Virgin Islands litigation and contentious matters, including shareholder disputes, contentious fund and corporate matters, debt recovery, enforcement of foreign judgments and arbitral awards, and court-supervised corporate matters such as schemes of arrangement.

She has a particular interest in contentious insolvency and restructuring matters, and she has acted on several high-profile and complex restructurings in Asia involving offshore schemes of arrangement.

Emma first joined the Maples Group in 2022, and she worked in the Maples Group’s Hong Kong office from 2022 to 2025.  Emma re-joined the Maples Group in 2026, and now works in the Maples Group’s London office.  She previously worked at a leading litigation firm in Auckland, New Zealand.
