David currently serves as an independent director to clients utilizing Cayman Islands, British Virgin Islands (BVI), and Singapore structures, supporting a diverse range of investment strategies.
He is a highly experienced funds industry professional with more than 20 years of expertise across a broad range of alternative investment fund structures, including hedge funds, private equity funds, Segregated Portfolio Companies (SPCs), Variable Capital Companies (VCCs), and other related investment vehicles.
David joined the Maples Group in 2013 and has held leadership roles overseeing fund accounting teams and delivering fund administration services to clients throughout the Asia-Pacific region.
He has extensive experience in fund governance, regulatory compliance, operational oversight, investor onboarding, fund documentation review, and NAV process oversight.
Prior to joining the Maples Group, David held positions with several leading institutional financial services organizations, including Credit Suisse AG, Prime Fund Services (formerly Fortis Prime Fund Solutions), and HSBC Institutional Trust Services (Singapore) Ltd. Over the course of his career, he has worked extensively with large financial institutions, and sovereign wealth funds, developing deep expertise in wide range of investment products and structures.
David holds a Bachelor of Accounting and Finance degree from the University of London, and he is fluent in English and Mandarin.
