Robin Gibb, an Associate based in the Cayman Islands practice, joined the firm in 2021 while Ana Lazgare, an Associate based in the London practice, joined the firm in 2020. The duo have a combined total of 13 years fund finance experience practising the laws of the Cayman Islands and British Virgin Islands and advising international clients including investment funds and banks on fund finance and other lending transactions.
“Congratulations to Robin and Ana on their inclusion in the 2023 Rising Stars Awards. It is fantastic to see their hard work and dedication acknowledged in the Fund Finance global community,” commented Tina Meigh, head of the firm’s Cayman Islands Finance and global Fund Finance teams. “Each brings a wealth of fund finance expertise to our global practice and this award is very well-deserved.”
In 2020, the FFA launched the annual ‘Rising Stars’ award to recognise Fund Finance industry stars who have less than 10 years of fund finance experience. Rising Star award recipients are selected based on their outstanding overall contribution to the Fund Finance industry, their firms and clients, the FFA and the FFA’s NextGen Network and / or Women in Fund Finance (WFF), with an emphasis on professional contributions focused on excellence in client service, product and service innovations, diversity and inclusion, career development, training and mentoring, networking and community service.
