The Guide recognised the firm as “responsive and practical in their advice”, “very supportive on transactions” with “unparalleled expertise and depth” while the firm’s lawyers are described as “technical”, “a solid team” with a “strong sense of commerciality”. The rankings and reviews are based on interviews with the firm’s global clients and industry peers, among other things.
Commenting on the rankings, Global Managing Partner, Jonathan Green said, “We are delighted to once again be included in Chambers’ prestigious Guide, receiving commendations across many of our global locations and practice groups. Our continuous inclusion is a result of the extremely high quality of lawyers at the Maples Group paired with our dedication to providing prompt, top-tier, solutions-focused legal advice from time zones convenient to our clients.”
The first Chambers rankings were published in 1990 and the guides currently research over 200 jurisdictions worldwide. Individual lawyers are ranked on the basis of their legal knowledge and experience, their ability, their effectiveness, and their client service. Law firm departments are ranked on the qualities of their lawyers as well as the effectiveness and capability of the department as a whole.
