Maples and Calder, the Maples Group’s law firm, is pleased to announce its remarkable showing in the 2026 Chambers Global Guide. The firm has achieved 21 practice group placements and 63 individual lawyer rankings across its global offices, including the British Virgin Islands, Cayman Islands, Dubai, Jersey, Hong Kong, Ireland, London, Luxembourg, and Singapore practices.
The law firm is praised for providing “result-driven, pragmatic solutions” and “precise and efficient advice with a very commercial mindset,” while teams are applauded for being “highly responsive,” “very knowledgeable,” and “on top of the detail.” This year’s results highlight significant individual achievements, with 10 lawyers receiving new rankings and 13 lawyers moving up in their rankings from the previous year.
Commenting on the rankings, Global Managing Partner, Jonathan Green said, “We are grateful to our clients and Chambers for their continued support and recognition and proud of our firm’s strong performance in the 2026 Chambers Global Guide. These rankings are a testament to our lawyers’ dedication to excellence and their commitment to providing outstanding client service across our global jurisdictions. I extend my congratulations to all of our ranked lawyers and practices for their well-deserved recognition.”
The rankings and reviews are based on interviews with the firm’s global clients and industry peers, alongside an analysis of work undertaken over the past 12 months. The Chambers rankings were first published in 1990 and the guides currently research over 200 jurisdictions worldwide. Individual lawyers are ranked based on their legal knowledge, experience, ability, effectiveness and client service. Law firm departments are ranked on the qualities of their lawyers as well as the effectiveness and capability of the department.
