Maples Group Recognised for Market Leadership at Hedgeweek Awards 2026

Maples and Calder, the Maples Group’s law firm, is pleased to announce that it has been recognised at the Hedgeweek Awards 2026, receiving two awards across its European and global digital assets categories.

The firm has been named:

  • Hedgeweek European Awards 2026 – Law Firm of the Year (Overall)
  • Hedgeweek Global Digital Assets 2026 – Law Firm of the Year: Fund Domicile

These awards recognise the strength and depth of the firm’s European Funds & Investment Management practice, as well as its leading position advising on the structuring, launch and ongoing operation of investment funds across key global domiciles.

Maples and Calder continues to play a central role in some of the market’s most innovative mandates, including advising on digital asset transactions across jurisdictions and in respect of a broad range of use cases, including on some of the largest contentious mandates and tokenised fund structures, within the digital assets ecosystem.

Our multidisciplinary Digital Assets practice integrates expertise in regulatory analysis and advisory services, contentious litigation mandates, tokenised fund formation, structuring of digital asset product offerings and token issuances both regulated and unregulated to provide comprehensive advice on the design, launch, regulation and lifecycle of digital asset products and platforms.

Commenting on the achievement, Harjit Kaur, Partner and Head of Maples and Calder’s Funds & Investment Management team in the London office, said: “We are thrilled to be recognised by Hedgeweek across both our broader funds practice and our digital assets capabilities. These awards are a testament to the exceptional work of our teams globally, our strong client partnerships and our ability to deliver innovative, market-leading solutions across jurisdictions. We are proud to support our clients at the forefront of industry developments and to be acknowledged for the impact of that work.”

Patrick Head, a Partner in the Regulatory & Financial Services team in the Cayman Islands office added: “This recognition at the Hedgeweek Global Digital Assets Awards reflects the depth of our digital assets expertise and the strength of our cross-jurisdictional and multi-disciplinary team approach to servicing the digital assets community. While we are well known for our work on tokenised fund structures, our practice spans the full spectrum of digital asset activities, advising clients on a wide range of products, platforms and regulatory considerations across the digital assets landscape. As the market continues to evolve, we are proud to be at the forefront, supporting our clients with innovative solutions and navigating the complex regulatory landscape with confidence.”

The awards were announced at the Hedgeweek European Summit, with the ceremony taking place at County Hall in London on Tuesday, 9 June 2026.
