Maples Group Receives 2025 Montreal Top Employer Honours

For the fifth year in a row, the Maples Group was named one of Montreal’s Top 100 Employers. Among the reasons for selection include networking and engagement.

The Maples Group is pleased to announce that it has been named to the list of Montreal’s Top Employers for the fifth year in a row.  MediaCorp Canada Inc., the publisher of the nationwide Canada’s Top 100 Employers series, selected the Maples Group in part because of its steadfast commitment to fostering a diverse and inclusive workplace and giving back to the greater community.

Since opening in October 2009, the Montreal office has grown to 361 employees working across an array of services and functions including fund administration, compliance, accounting, finance, marketing, project management, information technology and human resources.  Illustrative of the office’s diversity, 50 different nationalities are represented in the office and 52 percent of managers in the Montreal office are women.

Reasons why the Maples Group was chosen again for this recognition include its employer education programmes such as leadership training and in-house French language classes, robust employee benefits packages and extensive opportunities for interdepartmental networking.  The Montreal office also hosts a number of social events throughout the year with the intention of fostering an inclusive, welcoming environment.  In 2024, the office held more than 70 virtual and in-person events for colleagues, including an annual international food festival, during which staff members bring dishes to share to represent their dozens of countries of origin.  The Maples Group also plays an active role in supporting the broader Montreal community with various philanthropic initiatives, such as a clothing drive for the Montreal chapter of Dress for Success, a global organisation dedicated to collecting professional attire for women from disadvantaged backgrounds.

“We are proud to be recognized again as one of Montreal’s Top Employers.  From our base in Canada, we offer opportunities to gain experience and exposure to financial services across the globe,” says Deputy Global Head of Fund Services Mark Weir, who is based in Montreal.  “Our clientele spans time zones and languages.  Not only does our diverse staff at the Montreal office help us provide a broad array of services to these clients, our employees’ careers at Maples can also benefit from learning new skills across the wide variety of roles in Montreal and in our other international offices.  We look forward to continuing to grow in 2025 with the introduction of new services for our local and international clients.”
