Maples Group Proud to Support Barnardo’s UK and Barnardos Ireland
The Maples Group’s Dublin and London offices are proud to announce that together they have selected Barnardo’s UK and Barnardos Ireland for a special Christmas donation.

The donation follows calls from both charities who anticipate that additional families will need help feeding their children over the next few months.
Barnardo’s UK and Barnardos Ireland are two children’s charities with a shared history of providing essential services to support vulnerable children and young people. Barnardos’ mission is to deliver services and work with families, communities and their partners to transform the lives of vulnerable children who are affected by adverse childhood experiences.
Commenting on this donation, Managing Partner of the Group’s law firm in London, Heidi de Vries said: “We are incredibly fortunate to be in a position to give back during what has been an extremely difficult year for so many, and we chose to support Barnardo’s UK and Barnardos Ireland because the work they do for children is truly remarkable”. She continued: “We hope to further support these two charities and build a meaningful and long-lasting relationship with them in the future.”
Managing Partner of the law firm in Ireland, Nicholas Butcher added: “The impact of COVID-19 on many young people has been hugely detrimental. To think that we can play only a small part in helping some of these children overcome challenges and go on to achieve significant milestones really does mean a great deal to me and my colleagues here at the Maples Group.”
Mary Gamble, Director of Fundraising for Barnardos Ireland thanked the Group: “We are so grateful to be recipients of this generous donation from the Maples Group. It has been a difficult year for everyone, and across our services we’ve worked with thousands of families and children who have struggled during this pandemic. The support from the Maples Group helps us continue to provide the services on the ground and the support needed by vulnerable families and children during this difficult time.”
These donations to Barnardo’s UK and Barnardos Ireland are in addition to the Maples Group’s combined and extensive global corporate social responsibility initiatives in 2020, and underscore the Group’s commitment to giving back to the community.
