Maples and Calder, the Maples Group’s law firm, is delighted to announce Partner Ayana Hull has been awarded Gold in the Woman of the Year, Caribbean category at the 2026 Citywealth Powerwomen Awards USA. Hosted in New York, the awards ceremony forms part of Citywealth’s fifteenth-year celebration of the global Powerwomen Awards, which honour women leaders driving excellence and impact across the private wealth industry.
This recognition reflects Ayana’s expertise and leadership in the British Virgin Islands’ (“BVI”) regulatory landscape, an increasingly complex and evolving market. The award underscores her commitment to client service excellence and her contribution to advancing women in the wealth management sector.

Ayana recently joined Maples and Calder as a partner and head of the Regulatory & Financial Services team in the firm’s BVI office, bringing over 20 years’ experience in BVI commercial and regulatory law, including advising on regulatory compliance, licensing, AML/CTF, digital assets and corporate structuring, as well as prior service as in-house counsel to the BVI Financial Services Commission.
