Maples Group Luxembourg Assists Kamco Invest in Strategic European Joint Venture
The Maples Group is pleased to announce that a multi-disciplinary team in its Luxembourg office assisted Kamco Investment Company K.S.C.P (“Kamco Invest”) with the successful acquisition of a joint venture company, European Green Logistics Space (“EGLS”), a specialist pan-European developer, investor, and manager of logistics assets across Europe. Kamco Invest has partnered with an expert team led by logistics real estate veteran, Ian Worboys, to form EGLS.

Kamco Invest is a regional non-banking financial powerhouse headquartered in Kuwait with offices in key regional financial markets, offering a comprehensive range of investment products and services covering asset management, investment banking and brokerage.
EGLS will play a pivotal role in the development, investment, and management of logistics assets across Europe. With a focus on sustainability, EGLS will deliver modern, sustainable big box and urban logistics facilities through acquiring and retrofitting standing assets as well as undertaking ground-up developments.
Maples and Calder (Luxembourg) SARL acted as Luxembourg legal counsel to Kamco Invest, providing a comprehensive suite of services that included the set-up of the Luxembourg acquisition vehicle. The team was led by head of Corporate, Baptiste Aubry, with assistance from Associate, Marine Bauchet. The Group’s Luxembourg Fiduciary Services team provided essential domiciliation, directorship, accounting and company secretarial services. The team was led by Senior Vice President and Head of Fiduciary Services, Jorge Perez, with assistance from Senior Vice President, Thibault Corlay, Vice President, Christophe Preney, and Assistant Vice President, Adnan Riaz.
