Maples Group Advises GM Group on Licensing to Elevate Medical Services Providers

Maples and Calder, the Maples Group’s law firm, is pleased to have advised Global Medica Group (the “GM Group”), the largest authorised distributor of GE Healthcare and Varian brand products in the Caribbean, on the licensing of its Cayman Islands subsidiary, Global Medica Ltd.

Through Global Medica Ltd, the GM Group will provide technologically advanced medical devices, technical support services, and medical IT solutions to hospitals and healthcare facilities across the Cayman Islands and wider Caribbean region. This licensing secures the Cayman Islands’ position as an important technical service hub for the delivery of the GM Group’s services and licensed equipment in the South American and Caribbean region.

Finance Partner Wanda Ebanks and Corporate Associate Desmond Chisholm, based in the firm’s Cayman Islands office, provided Cayman Islands legal advice and licensing services with respect to the onboarding of Global Medica Ltd.
