OVERVIEW
Alex is a partner in Maples and Calder's Funds & Investment Management team in the Maples Group's Cayman Islands office. He advises private equity funds, hedge funds and investment managers on investment fund formation, restructuring and fund transactions. He also advises on a broad range of corporate and commercial matters.
BACKGROUND
Alex joined the Maples Group in 2017 in the London office, before relocating to the Cayman Islands in 2018. He previously worked as an associate in the investment management group of Debevoise and Plimpton LLP in London. Alex is recommend by Legal 500 where clients say he "has developed into an exceptional private funds partner. Alex is very commercial, technically excellent and always available. Also, has a great communication style and either knows the answer or will get it for you right away."
