OVERVIEW

Lisa is an associate of Maples and Calder's Regulatory & Financial Services team in the Maples Group's Cayman Islands office. She provides advice on a wide range of regulatory matters including anti-money laundering and counter-terrorism financing, sanctions, Cayman Islands Monetary Authority licensing and registrations, economic substance, AEOI and data protection. 

BACKGROUND

Lisa joined the Maples Group in 2023. She previously worked for a leading Canadian business law firm as an associate advising clients on complex regulatory and litigation matters. She has represented clients before Canadian regulators and administrative tribunals, as well as before the Federal Court and Federal Court of Appeal. Her work experience in Canada also includes the Canadian Intellectual Property Office, where she was a policy analyst specialising in copyright and industrial design.

Lisa is a member of the Cayman Islands Legal Practitioners Association.
