OVERVIEW

Karen is a partner of Maples and Calder's Corporate team in the Maples Group's Hong Kong office. Her practice covers a broad range of corporate transactions involving Cayman Islands and British Virgin Islands companies including mergers and acquisitions, pre-IPO financings, initial and secondary public offerings, private equity investments, joint ventures, reorganisations and restructurings. Karen has extensive experience advising on significant and market leading M&A and take private transactions involving Hong Kong and US-listed companies.  Karen also advises financial institutions, sponsors and corporations on debt financing transactions including leveraged and acquisition finance, debt capital markets transactions, project finance and general corporate lending. 

BACKGROUND

Karen joined Maples and Calder in 2013. She was previously a senior associate at Allens in Melbourne. Karen has been recognised as a rising star partner in IFLR1000 and recommended as a key lawyer by The Legal 500. Karen is fluent in Mandarin and Shanghainese.
