OVERVIEW

Jennifer is a professional support lawyer in the Cayman Islands office at Maples and Calder, Maples Group's law firm, providing assistance to the Regulatory & Financial Services Advisory practice group in relation to the laws of the Cayman Islands.

She provides specialist support in all aspects of regulatory law including anti-money laundering and counter-terrorist financing obligations, beneficial ownership, data protection, economic substance, securities investment business and the virtual asset service providers' regime.

BACKGROUND

Jennifer joined the Maples Group in 2022. Prior to joining, she led the regulatory group of another international law firm in the Cayman Islands.  Jennifer began her Cayman Islands legal career in 2008 advising investment funds and managers, before moving on to other roles wherein she came to specialise in regulatory law.  Prior to relocating to the Cayman Islands, Jennifer practised in the areas of taxation and securities law in Canada.
