Jennifer Burr

OVERVIEW

Jennifer is of counsel of Maples and Calder (Luxembourg)'s Funds & Investment Management team at the Maples Group. Jennifer has practiced as an investment funds and regulatory lawyer for the past 12 years. She assists asset managers, fund promoters, depositary banks and institutional investors in the structuring, setting up, operation and liquidation of Luxembourg regulated investment fund structures (including UCITS, specialised investment funds, venture capital funds (SICARs)) and unregulated investment vehicles (including reserved alternative investment funds – RAIFs and Luxembourg limited partnerships). Jennifer also advises asset managers on the implementation of, and compliance with, the EU AIFM Directive in Luxembourg. Furthermore, she advises investors regarding fund due diligence(s) and assists in the area of fund financing.

BACKGROUND

Jennifer joined the Maples Group in 2022.  Prior to joining the Maples Group she was a senior associate in the Luxembourg investment funds practices of a global law firm, a Benelux law firm, and as an associate in a leading Luxembourg law firm. Jennifer also worked in the investment funds and management dedicated legal department at the Luxembourg regulator (CSSF) for several years.
