OVERVIEW
Ian is an associate of Maples and Calder's Funds & Investment Management team in the Maples Group's Cayman Islands office. His primary practice is in private equity fund structures and investments where he represents a wide range of private equity sponsors on matters involving structuring, formation and the operation of private funds. Ian regularly advises on downstream private equity transactions and portfolio investments. He also advises on a number of related corporate transactions, including consortium deals, joint ventures, co-investments, management equity, buy-outs and restructurings.
BACKGROUND
Ian joined the Maples Group in 2019. Prior to his move to the Cayman Islands, he worked in the private equity and financial institutions teams at Kirkland & Ellis and Ashurst, respectively, in London.
